Weekend Getaways Near Delhi: Kasol Kheerganga Trek

When you occasionally stray from the conventional, you’ll end up in the most incredible situations and working with the most amazing individuals.

May everything go in your favour so that you might visit Lord Shiva’s dwelling, also known as “mini-Israel” or “heaven”! The Kasol Kheerganga Trek offers you the unique opportunity to explore two communities that are brimming with spirituality and natural beauty. There is a short hike and a high but doable climb. The elevations of Kasol and Kheerganga are 1580 m and 2956 m, respectively. Kheerganga is a trekker’s paradise, located in the breathtaking Parvati Valley in the Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh. Kasol, a charming village located far away, is where the hike begins.

OVERVIEW:

Kheerganga, the last settlement in the Parvati Valley before reaching Pin Parvati Pass, is well known for its marijuana farming. An energising view is provided by the Parvati River, huge waterfalls, stunning mountains, recognisable temples, and lined-up Deodar and Oak trees. At the end of the trip, you will be rewarded with a contrasting hot spring in the middle of a chilly environment.

Kasol, on the other hand, is a hippie hotspot and has recently developed into a stopping point for Israelis. Many Israeli cafés provide delicious Falafels, Borek, Chicken Laffa, and the fabled Onion Fries with Hummus. Your heart will be warmed by the food, the historic homes, and the tales from various street corners.

We guarantee that this excursion will make you happier and more optimistic. Hindu mythology and Sikh mythology are all over the place. Please let us tell you more about them. When we go to Kheerganga on our next scheduled date, join us. An overview of the Kasol-Kheerganga Trek with Plan The Unplanned is provided below:

What to Bring

Trekking shoes are the first thing you should bring. They should be waterproof and have good traction and ankle support. Never bring your running shoes.

Second, keep a padded jacket and down jacket with you.

Trekking pants are the next item to bring. Shorts and denim/jeans are inappropriate for trekking.

T-shirts with full sleeves that shield the arms and neck from sunburn. Bring a few dry-fit t-shirts with you.

Thermals: Keep some on hand (top and bottom).

Sunglasses: They are a requirement. The walk will be covered in a lot of snow, which could result in snow blindness.

Cap: The sun is very fierce at high altitudes, so protect yourself by carrying a cap.

Carry a pair of waterproof hand gloves; do not use woollen ones because they will get wet if you touch snow.

Two pairs of wool socks and two pairs of socks: You can bring a pair of wool socks for the night in addition to the two sports socks.

Luminaire/LED torch: Mandatory

Battery packs

Toiletries

Sunglasses and sunscreen are also recommended.

Raincoats and ponchos: Since snowfall and rain are frequent at high elevations, you must always have one of these items with you to prevent getting wet. Even in the event of rain, the walk will proceed as scheduled. Your poncho should keep you safe.
